Travel Information

Arriving at Hamburg Airport (Fuhlsbüttel)

The airport is directly connected to Hamburgs public transport (HVV). The metro line S1 (towards Blankenese/Wedel) departs every ten minutes from the airport to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (main station). When arriving at the station please go to platform 4. From here take metro line S3 (towards Neugraben / Stade oder Buxtehude) or S31 (towards Harburg Rathaus / Neugraben) to Wilhelmsburg Station. Traveltime from Hauptbahnhof to Wilhelmsburg is approximately ten minutes. Arriving at Wilhelmsburg please take Metrobus 13 (towards Veddel) or Bus 154 (towards Kornweide, Kattwykdamm). Get off at Wilhelmsburg Rathaus (two stops). You could also go by foot from Wilhelmsburg Station to the Bürgerhaus Wilhelmsburg. It is a 15 minute walk.

Barrier-free travelling:
Pease note that Wilhelmsburg Station is not barrier-free at the moment. We recommend the following route:

Take metro line S3 or S31 from Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (main station) and get off at Veddel Station (one stop before Wilhelmsburg). Take the exit “Ballin-Stadt”. Using the elevator you get directly from the plattform to the bus stops. Take Metrobus 13 towards Wilhelmsburg Station (S-Bahn Wilhelmsburg). Journey time is approximately 20 min. Get off at bus stop “Rathaus Wilhelmsburg”. You find the SWIB location (Bürgerhaus Wilhelmsburg) on the other side of the street.
